Easyjet spoke out following the latest incident as a plane came in to land at Edinburgh Airport.

The Easyjet aircraft was flying from Belfast when its captain reported a green laser being shone at his plane from Livingston on Monday at 2240 GMT.

An Easyjet spokesman said: “We are aware of previous incidents. These are extremely dangerous acts.”

It is understood the problem predominantly occurs for planes at Edinburgh Airport.
