Qantas Stands Down Two Flight Attendants Amid Investigation

Posted in Cabin Crew News, QantasNo comments

Qantas has stood down two flight attendants following allegations of sexual misconduct levelled against them by another staff member.
It is believed the allegation is that the two men became sexually involved with a 17-year-old female passenger on a London-bound flight.
A spokesman for Australia’s largest airline today said the two staff members had been stood down but would not elaborate.
“Two Qantas flight attendants were stood down from duty on 14 September,” the spokesman told AAP.
“This followed allegations about them made by another flight attendant.”
Qantas would not confirm the nature of the allegations but it is understood both men were Australian-based attendants.
“We are currently investigating the allegations and it is not appropriate to comment any further,” a Qantas spokesman told AAP.
The allegation first surfaced following an in-house announcement from a Qantas customer service manager.
